OKZ HOLDING has been operating in the Czech market since November 2000. It may seem to be a very young company at first sight; however, behind its current success, there is long-term practice together with management and personnel experience acquired in previous years.
Within its short but extensive history, OKZ HOLDING has become a dynamically developing company with great potential.
A handful of enthusiasts stood behind its establishment at the end of the 20th century and nowadays the company employs nearly 1,500 people in several European countries.
Since it was established, OKZ HOLDING has constructed storage capacities with a total volume of almost 4 million cubic metres in a range from the smallest storage tanks having a volume of several dozen cubic metres up to the largest crude oil storage tank in Central Europe with a volume of 125,000m3, which is located in the Crude Oil Tank Farm in Czech Nelahozeves.
Unlike a number of big (not only engineering) companies that inherited or took over and simply modernized the already instituted management systems of their “socialist predecessors”, OKZ had to build and further develop its own system, own structure and own brand. Today, we can see that this start from scratch gave us the opportunity for more progressive development.
Core company production, which mainly consists of making large capacity steel storage tanks, is in principle limited by the total consumption of crude oil or fuels in the particular territory of the construction investment projects. It therefore became obvious that OKZ HOLDING with its particular products would need to expand to other countries, whose tank capacities expected to increase considerably in the coming years.
