Subsidiary companies


The subsidiary company OKZ HOLDING Baltija was established in 2003 in Lithuania. With its 480 employees and modern production plant for the manufacturing of steel structures in the city of Plunge, it has carried out and will carry out a number of construction and reconstruction investment projects for important Lithuanian customers.

OKZ HOLDING Latvia was established two years later in Riga. In 2007 the company finished the reconstruction of a cement factory in Broceni, for the Mexican company CEMEX and is ready to take part in the large-scale refurbishment of obsolete tank farms together with the construction of new tank farms planned to start in Latvia in 2008.

Two subsidiary companies were established after much preparation in 2006 to enable entry into the Russian market. Nowadays they employ about 200 people and their key customer is the biggest crude oil transporter in the world, Transneft. Prospects for their future development will achieve significant scale after their own production premises inside the Russian Federation are put into operation.

Bulgaria is showing considerable development potential since joining the EU. The subsidiary company OKZ BULHOLDING was established there in November 2007. It is preparing the construction of its own production plant in the riverport town Ruse on the banks of the Danube River. Products from the new premises will be aimed towards investment opportunities in Bulgaria, Romania, and other countries in Southern Europe.

Poland is another important territory with a high order potential in the construction segment of the storage capacity market, both from the point of view of project implimentation on its own territory and from the point of view of cooperation with PKN ORLEN in its refineries in the CR and Lithuania. Thus the office of the local subsidiary company was opened in Warsaw, in January 2008.

Customers from Slovakia, mainly from the Bratislava refinery Slovnaft, are long-term partners of OKZ. Projects in Slovakia which were carried out by the mother company; however, a decision was made in 2008 to establish a subsidiary company in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

Since 2006, OKZ has been operating also in Belgium, where a terminal for nitrate fertilizers and other technological storage tanks for distilleries were constructed. The experience acquired during these projects and the developmental dynamics of seaport regions in Belgium and the Netherlands will create the basis for the future successful operation of the subsidiary company OKZ HOLDING BVBA.

In 2009, OKZ significantly reinforced its market position in Western Europe. Company has extended its activities to France and its overseas departments and has opened there a new subsidiary company OKZ HOLDING France.
